Domaine Mee Godard (Beaujolais Morgon)

Domaine Mee Godard is based in Morgon, France in the heart of the Beaujolais region and produces wines that have stunned wine lovers and critics around the world with their grace, beauty, subtle power and potential for aging. The story of the Domaine founded in 2013 by Mee Godard is as compelling as her wine. Born in South Korea, raised and educated in France, Mee then trained in wine science at the University of Oregon where she completed her Masters degree and later at the Diplôme National d'Oenologue in Montpellier. This was followed by posts at Maison Chanson, Domaines des Comtes Lafon and Corton André. Finally in 2013 she acquired 5 hectares in Morgon, 1.7 ha (4.2 acre) of Morgon, Côte du Py, 2.1 ha (5.7 acre) of Morgon, Corcelette, and 1.2 ha (2.5 acre) of Morgon, Grand Cras. In 2017 she also took over a 1.1 hectare in Moulin-a-Vent, Les Michelons. Domaine Mee Godard has moved to fully integrate organic farming in her vineyards. Her wines have won awards all around the world and have been described by Jancis Robinson as, ‘Vivid, intense, defiant, arresting and uncompromisingly beautiful’. Mee puts it more simply, ‘I make wines for keeping’.
